A substantial reward is available for the identity of an East Redding murder suspect. At around 9:05PM Friday night, police were called to the Hacienda West Apartment Complex a little south of Enterprise High School. They arrived to find a man suffering a gunshot wound. He died after arriving at Mercy Hospital. Redding Police detectives spent more than 12 hours at the apartments looking for evidence and talking to witnesses. They learned that the victim had been in a confrontation with a group of men when one of them pulled out a gun and shot him. The group of men then fled, and the shooter’s identity is not known, nor is it known what the fight was about. A reward of $10,000 is available for anonymous tips at 243-2319 or scsecretwitness.com.
