Redding Fire Department battled some fires Monday morning. A fire off the South Bonneyview offramp from Interstate 5 has spread to vegetation from a fully engulfed Ford F-150 pickup. The sheriff’s office is on scene saying the truck was likely stolen. A number of spot fires have also been sparked from the original.
A fire off Old Oregon Trail Monday morning was contained to less than an acre. It’s located near the old city dump on the stretch of Old Oregon Trail that runs parallel to Airport Road south of Highway 44.
