Sheriff’s K9 Sniffs Out Half Pound Of Meth During Traffic Stop

Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies say they busted a man with almost a half pound of Methamphetamine in Cottonwood Saturday afternoon. Joshua Darrell Ochoa was northbound on Interstate Five in a Nissan Maxima when he was pulled over and found to have a suspended driver’s license. He’s also on Post Release Supervision for drug sales. Fritz the K9 sniffed around the outside of the car and alerted his handler to the smell of drugs. Over 7.5 ounces of Meth and more than $1,200 was reportedly found. Ochoa was booked into jail.
