Highway 299 east of Redding was completely blocked for a while Tuesday after a two-vehicle crash near Ingot. The collision between a pickup truck and a large SUV happened at around 11:30AM, and both directions were blocked for almost an hour. Paramedics on scene reported six patients, including one with critical injuries who had to be extricated. That person was transported by helicopter.
