A reward is offered in hopes of recovering a valuable classic muscle car that was stolen from Anderson. On July 15th at 5:15AM the owners of the car looked out the window of their room at the Gaia Hotel in time to see their enclosed trailer being driven away. Inside the trailer was a 1966 Ford Cobra convertible worth $125,000. About 30 minutes later someone found the trailer, abandoned and empty near Riverland Drive and Balls Ferry Road. The suspects’ pickup, possibly a Toyota Tundra crew-cab, and the stolen trailer were caught on camera turning from North Street onto Ravenwood. The eye-catching coupe was last seen by road workers at around 5:50AM going north on Deschutes Road past Dersch Road. A tip led APD detectives to Ash Creek and Dersch Road, where there were numerous burnouts on the pavement that seemed to match the Cobra’s tires. The car may be in the Shingletown area. The Cobra was black with blue racing stripes when it was taken. The surveillance photos are on the KQMS Facebook Page.
